Meet and greet at 5 p.m

Kenny Emerson, Tishomingo Alumni Association president, has announced that the Tishomingo High School Alumni Banquet scheduled for Saturday, June 24, will start with a meet and greet at 5 p.m. The location of the banquet this year will be the Doghouse at Ole Red Tishomingo, located at 214 West Main Street in Tishomingo.

Mike Vandevier has agreed to cater the meal once again. This year the meal will be a 16-ounce ribeye steak with loaded mashed potatoes and a choice of two vegetables and bread, along with iced tea and lemonade to drink. Dessert will also be provided.

Emerson stated it is very important that all attendees send in their registration early for the banquet, so the association will have an accurate count of the number of attendees for the meal. The association will be sending the head count to Vandevier on June 15.

“Those not registered are welcome, but will likely not be served,” Emerson stated.

Registration can be done by emailing Lorry Essary Jones, alumni secretary, at lorryjones@att.net. Please include your name, number of reservations and year of graduation.

Two local bands, Strongwood and C7, will be performing – alternating throughout the evening – in addition to the annual meeting. There will also be a cash bar available.

The alumni association has reserved the entire Mulberry Inn, located across the street from the Doghouse, for overnight lodging. Information and reservations for those rooms can be obtained by contacting Mike Hamilton, alumni vice president, at mdhamiltonth73@gmail.com or (580) 624-0031.

Dinner for those who register will be free. Donations for the association at the banquet will be appreciated. Funds from the donations will go to provide scholarships to graduating Tishomingo High School students chosen by the association.
