Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Jean (Black) Pierce, 79, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 at the Westside Church of Christ with Stuart Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Bullet Prairie Cemetery. Mrs. Pierce passed away on February 26th, at her home.

Mary Jean was born on January 20th, 1934 in Tishomingo to Willie Louis Black and Mollie Mae (Davis) Black. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a graduate of Tishomingo High School. She married Otis Pierce on March 31st, 1975 in Sherman, Texas and he preceded her in death on November 14th, 2000. Mary Jean worked as a seamstress for several years at Dee;s Manufacturing in Tishomingo and was a member of the Westside Church of Christ.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Black.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by three sons, Ronnie Diggs of Tishomingo, Donnie Diggs of Everman, Texas and Johnny Diggs of Lexington, Okahoma; three brothers, Robert Black, Harvey Black and Seburn Black, all of Tishomingo; her sister, Colene Wallace of Tishomingo; step-children to include, Mark Pierce, Tammy Flieger and Sheila Biggs; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the service will be her grandsons, Jared Diggs, Tony Diggs, Donnie Diggs, Jr., Stoney Diggs, Jonathan Lively and Johnny Diggs, Jr.
