Billy LaVern Chaney, 72, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born on September 8, 1938 to the late John Alexander Chaney and Mattie Elizabeth Council Chaney in Fillmore, Oklahoma. Billy was raised in Fillmore and moved to Tishomingo where he graduated high school in 1957. He attended one year of college at Murray State before moving to Blackwell, Oklahoma. He married RoseMary Golden on February 27, 1960 in Twin City, Texas. In 1973 he worked for Vickers also known as Velero and retired in 2000. He served with the Oklahoma National Guard for 8 years. Billy was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, puzzles and reading.

He is survived by: Wife: RoseMary Chaney, Kingston, Oklahoma

Children: LaWanda Henry and husband Jeff, Justin, Texas Beverly Kordeliski and husband Scott, Kingston, Oklahoma CSM Billy L. Chaney Jr. and wife Tammy, Clinton, North Carolina
