Obituary

Funeral services for Glen Miller Chapman, 68, of Harrah, were held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the First Baptist Church of Harrah, Dr Dan Campbell officiating. Interment followed in the Memory Lane Cemetary in Harrah. The sof of the late N.B & Eula (Wallace) Chapman, he was born Nov. 21, 1941 in Tishomingo, and died Dec. 26, 2009, in Midwest City.
A 1959 graduate of Tishomingo High School, he served in the U. S. Marine Corp from 1959 to 1989, including a tour in Vietnam in 1967-68. While in the military, he was a personnel administrative chief and a drill instructor. After retiring from the military he worked for the U. S. Postal Service for 21 years where he was a rural carrier for the Newalla Post Office.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Narvan Chapman.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Chapman, Harrah; a son, Walt Chapman and wife Kelley of Crescent; two daughters, Terrie Dean and husband Richard of McLoud, and Regina Wright and husband Keith of Harrah; two brothers, Tommy Chapman of Victorville, CA., and Raymond Sanders of Krebs; and a sister Doris Mead of Tishomingo; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and other realtives.
