RANDLETT, Okla. - Jodean Dale Hayes, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Lighthouse Church in Burkburnett, Texas, with the Rev. Bobby Scott, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Jodean was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Tishomingo to Homer Jefferson and Callie Bell Gamble Hayes.

Jodean grew up and attended school in Tishomingo. She married Jewel Henry Hayes on May 17, 1943, in Tishomingo.

When her husband returned from service in the U.S. Army, they moved to Randlett, where she had made her home since 1944. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Burkburnett.

She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, quilting, the Bible, church and loving on her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972; a granddaughter, Angela Hayes; and two sisters, Juanita Winkler and Helen Ellis.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Sherlene Hayes of Amarillo, Texas, and Tim and Sabrina Hayes of Randlett; three daughters, Judy Gent of Grandfield, Linda Barbour and husband Ken of Waurika, and Vickie Bradford and husband Robert of Mineral Wells; a brother and sister-in-law, Homer Jr. and Nelda Dale of Iowa Park, Texas; three sisters, Pauline Ayers of Sherman, Texas, Bonnie Carroll and husband Alvis of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Doris Case of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

The family suggests memorials be to Lighthouse Church, 603 S. Red River Expressway, Burkburnett, TX 76354.
