George Dean Duke was born on February 22, 1953 to the late Manchel Lee Duke and Ann McCollom Duke. He passed from this life on December 18, 2014 at the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore in Ardmore at the age of 61 years.

George attended high school in Tishomingo and graduated in 1970 and enlisted in the United States Navy and received an Honorable Discharge in 1975. He married Katrinna Nosler on Memorial Day of 2001 in Springer, Oklahoma where she stood by his side in love the remainder of their marriage.

George was employed as a police officer for many years and served as an officer on the Tishomingo and Madill Department and also served as police chief on the Wilson Police Department. George was avid Oklahoma Sooners fan and loved to go fishing and to do woodworking, watching western movies. He also loved to play his guitar and sing.

George was of the Pentocostal faith and was attending The Lighthouse Church in Lone Grove.

George is survived by his wife Katrinna of the home, 2 sons, Jamie Duke & wife Mandy of Fort Riley, KS & Billy Nosler & Wife of Woodward, OK, 4 daughters, Cristy Mays & husband Joe Mays of Mannsville, OK, Amy Duke of Milburn, OK, Samantha Mitchell of Ardmore, OK & April Nosler, 2 brothers, Wesley Duke & wife Kathy of Duncan, OK & Manchel Duke JR & Rexanne of Stillwater, OK., 2 sisters, Sheryl Berry of Ardmore, OK, & Jeannie Klingensmith & husband of Oklahoma City, OK. George is survived 11 wonderful grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by both of his parents, 1 brother Ron Lee, 1 sister Nona Ferris.

Graveside services were held on Saturday December 20 at 2pm in the Ravia Cemetery with Bro. Joe Mays officiating. Military Honors were provided by the Chickasaw Honor Guard. Online condolences may be made at www.tishomingofuneralhome.com.
