Willie Mae Snodgrass, 72 year old Checotah resident passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was born Wednesday, February 7, 1940 to Francis and Lucille (Chambers) Henry in Ponotoc, Oklahoma.

Willie grew up in Tishomingo where she graduated from high school before moving to Oklahoma City to attend college. There she met, fell in love and married her best friend and love of her life Bobby Gene Snodgrass on Saturday, November 23, 1968.

With her husband in the Service, she moved with him to Missouri where she worked for the Civil Service. In 1969, she moved back to Oklahoma City and went to work as the secretary for Wilson Packing Company. She moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1971 before moving back to Oklahoma City where she worked as the secretary for Crowe & Dunlevy Law Firm for thirteen years. In 1985, she moved to Choctaw before making a final move to Checotah in 2004.

Willie was actively involved in bowling, fishing, Red Hat Society, Optimist Club along with many other auxiliaries. She loved to read, spend time boating, fishing and more than anything enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church in Choctaw.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law Clessie Snodgrass; brothers-in-law Bernie Joe Snodgrass and Leonard Snodgrass.

Willie is lovingly survived by her husband Bobby of the home; children Penny Loch with her husband Robert of Choctaw, OK, LeDon Snodgrass of Chickasha,OK, Ricky Snodgrass with his wife Barbara of Moore,OK, Coye Althouse with her husband Robert of Mississippi, Alex T. Snodgrass and his wife Renee of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Charles Loch, Renee Head, Mindy Gregory, Dakota Downey, Dakota Snodgrass, Jessica Ferrell, Virginia Downey, Taylor Snodgrass, Colton Snodgrass; great grandchildren Deziree Head, Malia Snellen, Avery Loch, Conner Loch, Addison Loch, Aaliyah Loch, and Bently Snodgrass. She is also survived by her sister Jan Lyon wither her husband Neal of Edmond, OK; brother Jimmy Henry of Wichita, KS; Sister-in-law Tressie Griffin of Atwood, OK; brother-in-law Edward Snodgrass of Eldorado, KS; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and many lifelong friends.
