Funeral Services for Jimmy Ray McCarthick, 73, of Tishomingo were held on Monday, June 22, 2009, at 10 am at the First Baptist Church with Rev's Kenneth McCarthick and Mack McCarthick officiating. Interment followed in the Connerville Cemetery. Mr. McCarthick passed away on Thursday, June 18, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Jim was born on February 17, 1936, in Connerville, Okla. To Sam McCarthick and Lillian Hart McCarthick. He attended schools at Coatsworth, Connerville and Tishomingo and later served in the United States Army serving a tour in Germany. Jim was an avid farmer rancher in Tishomingo and was in the Heating Air Conditioning business for many years and was current owner operator of MC Heat and Air.

He is survived by his wife Nellie, of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Brent Maroney of Guthrie, his granddaughters, Brentney, Cortney and Lexy Maroney, also of Guthrie; two step-sons and one step-great-granddaughter; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Pauline McCarthick of Tishomingo; Alvin and Judy McCarthick of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Mack and Sheryl McCarthick of Lovington, New Mexico and Glen and Vickie McCarthick of Tishomingo; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna & Ken Bradshaw of Anchorage, Alaska and Leoma Pass of Tishomingo; other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the service were Colin Howell, Matt Howell, Tom Winkler, Johnny Sneed, Wayne Morton and State Representative Paul Roan. Honorary Bearers were Bobby Stewart, Dean Wheeler, Larry Jack Hutchins, Mike Harwell, Randy Bevill, Tom Burch and Dick Burrow.

Arrangements were under the direction of Clark Funeral Service of Tishomingo.
