Funeral Services for Mr. Thomas J. "Tom" Morrow, 73, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. in the Herb Clark Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenneth McCarthick officiating. A Eulogy will be presented by Kevin Morrow. Interment will follow in the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, Oklahoma. Mr. Morrow passed away on July 8, 2016 at his home, after a long illness.

Thomas John “Tom” Morrow was born on May 20, 1943 near Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Robert & Mary Belle (Marshall) Morrow. He attended schools in Tishomingo, graduating high school in 1961. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1963 until 1966. Some time later, he attended Murray State College and them moved to OKC, where he was soon hired by the OKC Fire Department and obtained his Associates Degree in Fire Prevention in 1974. He was a driver until an accident with a table saw, severed several fingers from his hand. He was then transferred to Arson Investigation, and attained the rank of Captain, which he held until retirement in 1987. He returned to Tishomingo and built, by hand, a log home. Tom married Frances Evans on May 30, 1987 and she remains in the home. He worked as a rural mail carrier from 1990 until his retirement in 2004. He wrote fiction novels as a hobby, and had one published, “Dust in the Wind”, five more written later. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Virginia Bracken and Betty Murray.

Tom is survived by his wife Frances; his son, Kevin Morrow of Mustang, Oklahoma; two daughters, Jamie Spence and husband Clint of Tishomingo and Laurie Kelly and husband Shawn of Sherman, Texas; his brother, Bill Morrow and wife Judy of Tishomingo; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
