uneral Services for Mrs. Betty E. Stokes, 83, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor’s Roger and Eva Rounsaville officiating. Interment will follow in the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7-8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Stokes passed away on November 28, 2016 in Orlando, Florida.

Betty was born on June 4, 1933 in Ada, Oklahoma to Earl Savannas Northcutt and Johnnie Lois (Izard) Northcutt. She graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1952 and married Donald R. Stokes on May 8, 1954 in Ada. They spent many years in different parts of the country while Don was in the Military and after his retirement in 1971 moved to Tishomingo. They began a 40 year career as co-owners and operators of Motor Sales in Tishomingo, where Betty was the bookkeeper until she retired in 2012. She was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church where she was the church pianist and they were very active in all aspects of the church.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on November 22, 2013 and her son-in-law, Paul Clifton.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Kay Clifton of Chuluota, Florida; two sons, Donald Keith Stokes and wife Regina of Stratford and Darel Ray Stokes and wife Connie of Allen, Texas; her brother, Sandy Northcutt and wife Charloette of Tishomingo; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
