Carolyn Janice (Underwood) Fairchild was born on January 19, 1941 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Isaac Newton Underwood and Carrie Tuley Underwood. She grew up in this area and attended Tishomingo Public Schools. She later attended Murray State College. She was currently the curator for the Johnston County Historical Society Museum in Tishomingo. She passed away on March 3rd at the Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 70.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Cecil, David & Benny Underwood and a sister, Loretta Hamilton.

Ms. Fairchild is survived by her son, Daniel Parton of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Kelley Klinecole of Boone, Oklahoma, Donna Stephensen of Oklahoma City and Linda Renae’ Briseno of Oklahoma City; her sister, Pauline Green of Tishomingo; three brothers, Fred Underwood of Wynnewood, Jerry Underwood of Milburn and Charles Underwood of Walsonburg, Colorado; her companion, Rick Corsello of the home; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
