Services for Mr. Chris Wheeler, Jr., 86, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Saturday, February 28th, 2015 at 2:00 p. m. in the Herb Clark Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rick Cobble officiating. Interment will follow in the Tishomingo Cemetery. Mr. Wheeler passed away on Monday, February 23rd, 2015 at The Belmont at Twin Creeks Care Center in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.

Chris was born on February 14th, 1929 in Tishomingo to Chris Wheeler, Sr. and Virginina Estelle (Cobb) Wheeler. He grew up and attended school here and after a time working in the shipyards in Houston, Texas, returned to Tishomingo for the remainder of his life. Chris worked as the service manager for Hutchens Chevrolet for a time and then owned and operated Wheeler's Auto for many years. He retired from the Tishomingo Volunteer Fire Department with over 20 years of service, part of which he served as Chief.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Juliette, second wife, Darlene, brothers,Jack & Fletcher and sister, Julia.

Chris is survived by two sons, Steve Wheeler of Tishomingo and Sid Wheeler of Milburn, Oklahoma, two daughters, Sharon McGee of Fairview, Texas and Sharlotte Petty of Purcell, Oklahoma, his brother, Monty Wheeler, his sister, Peggy Palmer of Dallas, several grand and great-grandchildren and his longtime companion, Beverly Cotner of Tishomingo.
