Jessica Ann (McClendon) Gastineau passed from this life on August 17, 2021 in Durant, Ok at the age of 32 years. Jessica was born January 18, 1989 in Tishomingo. She spent most of her life in Johnston County. She and her family have been living in Mannsville for the last year and a half. Jessica graduated from Tishomingo High School with the class of 2007. She then went on to continue her education at Murray State College and then on to East Central University where she graduated with a bachelors degree in Psychology. Jessica was employed by The Jetty in Ardmore, Ok where she worked as a mental health and substance abuse counselor. She had a passion for helping people and could see the good in almost everyone. 


Jessica married Jeffery Gastineau on April 26, 2008, a union that lasted 19 years. From this union, four children were born.  She loved her family and always enjoyed spending time with them.  She especially loved the holidays with her family. Jessica also enjoyed time spent with her best friend, Marci.  


Jessica was of the Pentecostal faith. She attended church at Rock Harbor Church in Ravia. She enjoyed singing in church and she loved her Jesus along with her church family.  She never feared anything in life because she always knew where she was going. She knew that she would be in heaven with Jesus and her daughter, Madlynn.


Jessica loved going on adventures with her kids. She also managed to take time for her husband, Jeffery.  She would go with him to ranch rodeos and never understood why he would donate to them. Her friend Marci would often ask her to do things but she would decline because she had a rodeo to attend with Jeffery. She enjoyed this time with him.  Jessica also had a special love for her nieces and nephews. 


Jessica and her heart of gold will definitely be missed by many. She touched the lives of many people and left an imprint on their heart that will last a lifetime. 


She leaves behind to cherish her memory husband, Jeffrey Gastineau of the home; children, Motley LaRue, Annabelle May, and Kodie Rose all of the home. Mother, Debra Gastineau and Step father, Stacy of Ravia; sisters, Diana (Little Shelly) Jinks and husband, Brian of Grand Prairie, Tx, Lorrie Lytle and husband, Logan of Tishomingo; brother-in-laws, Charles Gastineau and wife, Ashley and kids of Dickson, Bobby Gastineau and wife, Rikki and kids of Emet; best friend Marci Hooper. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends.


Jessica was preceded in death by both grandparents and a daughter, Madlynn LeAnn. 
Funeral services to celebrate Jessica’s life will be Friday, August 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Tishomingo with Rev. Jonathan Smith and Tanner Hinton officiating.  Interment will follow at Ravia Cemetery.
