Sherry was born October 20, 1946 in Ardmore Oklahoma to Jenna Lou and Joe Hellack. She grew up in Tishomingo Oklahoma where she loved to ride horses. She was a cheer leader in high school and fell in love with gymnastics. In 1963 she married Bill Alexander also from Tishomingo. Sherry then finished high school and they had a son Bill Wayne Alexander in 1964.

Sherry attended Murry State College and continued her education by received a BS degree in Home Economics and Physical Education from East Central University in Ada Oklahoma.

Sherry met Terry Gordon Farris while attending East Central University and they were married April 5, 1969. The new family moved to Moore Oklahoma where Terry began his career in the oil /gas business and eventually formed his own company Sanook Oil and Sherry taught Home Economics. and Physical Ed. at Capitol Hill Middle School.

Later they moved to north Edmond where they bred racing horses and they son Bill Wayne Alexander attended University of Central University, and who is also in the oil business.

Sherry is survived by her Husband of 52 years, Terry Farris, their son Bill Alexander and his wife Bobbie, their children Taylor and Zac Alexander; sisters Jenna Hellack and Cheryl Dill, Cheryl’s husband Richard their three children Ricky, Keelan and Victoria, and a Brother Mike Hellack and his wife Kathy and their son Josh.

Sherry loved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and they loved her – Ricky wrote “I am deeply sad Aunt Sherry passed. Aunt Sherry was so special to me. She spoiled me so much…”. Sherry loved animals – “this is an understatement!”. She was actively involved in the rescue of all kind’s animals; she would stop anywhere, if she thought an animal needed help. She brought so many stray cats’ home that Terry build her a “cat” house in their backyard.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
